Economists divided over downturn
Article Abstract:
Although finally acknowledging the country is in a recession, economists are still not in unison over how long the United States will experience this downturn. What has made the economic forecasting even more difficult is the war on terrorism. The article provides additional information on the non-consensus among economists, as well as a table listing former Economic Conditions and Critical Events, which shows a historic relevance between the U.S. economy and disasters.

Leaders prepare for lean times
Article Abstract:
The conference of the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute for 2001 took on a different tone. The subject matter originally slated, 'Hispanics in the Bush Administration', was changed to 'Terrorism and Its Impact on Race Relations.' Also addressed at the conference was the lasting impact of terror attacks as it related to economic development in the Hispanic business community.
