Article Abstract:
In the year 2000, revenues for the Top 50 Exporters listed in 'Hispanic Business' magazine, increased significantly to over $1 billion, which represented a 70% increase over 1999. However, because of the economic effects stemming from the terrorist attacks and an already shaky economy, additional growth in some sectors may be slowed. The article provides additional information on economic outlook and also includes tables listing the Fastest Growing Top 50 Exporters, Top 50 Exporters by States and Top 50 Exporters by Sector.

Diverging fortunes
Article Abstract:
The Spanish-language advertisement spending in the Top Hispanic DMAs (designated market areas) has increased only 3.8% and thus the highest spending growth has shifted to smaller markets where the Hispanic population is growing at a fast rate. The opportunities that are available for the local retailers and service providers in the secondary Spanish-language markets are discussed.

Hispanic advertising spending growth trend has slowed down in 2005, after peaking in 2003-04. The use of language and its impact on Hispanic consumers is examined to come to a reasonable marketing approach.
