Scientific racism in modern America, 1870s-1990s
Article Abstract:
Members of non-White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) communities in the US have been facing varying degrees of racism between the 1870s and the 1990s. Most vulnerable to such racism are African-Americans and Jews. WASP scientists have tried to use scientific evidences to prove the superiority of the Nordic race over all other races through anthropometry, IQ tests, genetics and environment. Although race relations have improved, American society still tends to be tribalistic in its attitudes towards race.
