The Low Documentation program of the Small Business Administration, which eliminates much of the rigorous paper work involved in loans, is perceived to have benefited minority businessmen including Hispanics. Unfortunately, the agency's plan to trim its staff and raise loan fees as a cost-saving measure could adversely affect the program.

Article Abstract:
The Small Business Administration has been criticized for its lackluster performance. Majority of the new Cabinet favor its abolition. However, other legislators seek only to cut back its programs, especially the 8(a) program which has had mixed results.
