Article Abstract:
V. S. Naipaul's 'The Middle Passage,' 'The Loss of El Dorado,' and 'A Way in the World' demonstrate how the author's interests in the Caribbean and their expression have changed over three decades. The first is investigative travel reporting, the second is historical narrative, and the last is a multinarrative combining personal memoir and Trinidadian history.
