Dead again
Article Abstract:
Figures from the UK's Health and Safety Executive (HSE) show that work related deaths in 1996/97 amounted to 302, up nearly 20% from 258 in 1995/96. Deaths in the construction industry are estimated at 98 for 1996/97, up from 82 previously. The HSE says that the rise can be blamed on the number of self-employed workers with little training, management support and experience.
