A mother-daughter wish list

A mother and daughter each compose a list of 5 things they wish they could teach the other. The mother wishes to teach her child how to perform well in school without being a social outcast or losing the ability to have fun. The daughter wishes to teach her mother to view her messy room as a 'form of self-expression.'

A mother whose parents survived the Jewish Holocaust of Germany, recounts how the ghosts of her enslaved parents' experiences remain with her. Her husband too is a child of survivors. Their son Max, after three generations is finally the one to be free of the sad reminiscences.
