Cyprus-Kuwait tax treaty
Article Abstract:
Cyprus has concluded a series of tax treaties with European Community countries to prevent double taxation that offers great possibilities for international tax planning. 'Offshore companies' that incorporate in Cyprus are taxed at only a 4.25% rate and their employees are exempt from half of the standard income tax rate. There are no capital gains taxes or estate duties on 'offshore companies.' There are also specific advantages related to firms from the United Kingdom and the US under a new treaty with Kuwait.
