Continuity and change in marital quality between 1980 and 2000
Article Abstract:
This article examines changes in marital quality between the periods of 1980 and 2000 with the use of surveys. The authors, maintaining marital happiness and divorce changed little, whereas marital interaction declined significantly, suggest increase in wives' working hours, share in decision-making regarding money, share of household duties, and premarital cohabitation are all important factors related to changes in marital quality.

The influence of in-laws on change in marital success
Article Abstract:
Research presented concerns the association between parents-in-law discord and the long-term relationship success of husbands and wives. Findings suggest that, even in long-standing marriages, conflict with in-laws will damage marital satisfaction, commitment, and stability over time.
