Dressing a toddler for the cold

Children should be dressed for the cold weather in layers, but in just the right amount to avoid restricting movement or getting them cold or damp. The first layer consists of diaper or training pants and long underwear, the second of sweat pants and a long-sleeve sweater and the third of snowsuit. The fourth and final layer should comprise of a hat and a pair of boots.
