Factors related to recidivism among delinquent females at a state correctional facility

Article Abstract:

A new study investigates the rising numbers of female delinquents who are involved in violent crimes. The factors relating to recidivism among young female offenders living in a correctional facility are analysed. The study shows that 96 of the 238 females examined were recidivists and is consistent with earlier research which shows that recividism is associated with age at first offense and the severity of offense.
