Article Abstract:
Household accidents cause the injury and death of 2.5 million American children each year. Most of these accidents could have been prevented. Safety precautions should be revised and updated as the child become more mobile. Newborns and infants should be protected against falls, burns and sudden infant death syndrome risks. Babies who sit and crawl must additionally be protected against choking and suffocations, poisoning and shocks.
