Should kids be paid to learn?
Article Abstract:
Some educators and parents have expressed their objections to the reward-for-performance programs of some public schools. They claim that this practice does more harm than good since it involves bribing students to meet basic expectations and does not get to the root cause of low self-worth, poor attendance and other problems.
