Summer camp: ready, or not?

Summer camps may offer children a refuge from home and school pressures and a means to become independent, but some children may not be emotionally prepared for it. Tips on how to tell if one's child is emotionally ready for the summer camp experience, as well as ways to boost the success of the camp experience, are presented.

Too-early wake-up calls

Some parents find their babies' too-early wake-up habits difficult to handle. However, such habits can be handled by providing babies with toys that they can play alone safely while the parents complete their rest. Adjusting the babies' body rhythms can also help in such situations.
