Article Abstract:

Families play an important role in dealing with HIV/AIDS. They can help prevent the spread of the disease by educating and training members about health and sexual behavior. They can also help infected members cope with the disease. Families experience distinct challenges based on the lifestyle and vulnerability of the infected member along with the general issues of social stigma, health and caretaking problems, isolation and death.
