The influence of spouses' behavior and marital dissolution on marijuana use: causation or selection
Article Abstract:
A study examined the effect of marital selection and causation on marijuana use among couples. Moreover, it investigated the influence of marital dissolution on the use of marijuana. This research used data obtained from 490 married couples, who were asked to provide answers twice, the second one gathered five and a half years after the first. Results found that marital selection effects have a greater impact than causation effects. Moreover, divorce influenced continued marijuana use of spouses.

The effect of no-fault divorce law on the divorce rate across the 50 states and its relation to income, education and religiosity
Article Abstract:
The impact of the no-fault divorce law on the divorce rate across 50 states was examined. Education, income and religiosity were treated as predicting factors in analyzing the association of the no-fault divorce law on the divorce rate of the 50 states. Of these predicting factors, only family income was found to have a significant effect on the divorce rate. Post-no-fault divorce rate grew as family income increased.
