The joy of reading: sharing stories is a gift we give to our children - and to ourselves

Reading aloud to children, including the reading of bedtime stories is a way to both entertain and teach children. The parent also gets the satisfaction of unleashing imagination and creatively once used in childhood. Advice is given on what books to choose and on the timing for different age groups.
