John C.H. Fei, 1923-1996
Article Abstract:
John C.H. Fei, economics professor, died on July 19 1996 at the age of 73. A state funeral was held in Taiwan in his honour. Fei studied economics in the US, where he obtained an M.A. and PhD. Fei's career included acting as advisor of economic policy for the Taiwanese government; Chairman of the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research board of trustees; and personal advisor to the Taiwanese President.

Nepotism for the nineties
Article Abstract:
Pres Clinton should not have appointed his wife head of a team whose mandate is to reform health care. Mrs. Clinton is too left-leaning and more concerned with extending coverage to more Americans than she is in reducing rising health care costs.

The mystery of preeclampsia

Pregnancy-induced high blood pressure or preeclampsia occurs among 5-10% of pregnant women. This condition is accompanied by headaches, swollen ankles, blurred vision and abdominal pain and can only treated by delivering the child.
