Three parents who make a difference
Article Abstract:
Three mothers have been helping the poor and the homeless in their own little ways. Anita Harmason and Gloria Flores volunteer their services at the infant center of a program for mothers on public aid and the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley in McAllen, TX, respectively. Joanne Carlson, meanwhile, runs a school for homeless children in Portland, OR.
