Toddlers gain a sense of control of the world around them as they learn words, and they should be encouraged to express themselves. Toddlers also gain awareness of the feelings and needs of other people, and parents can encourage this by allowing their toddlers to play with other children.

Frustration busters
Article Abstract:
Parents can ease their children's frustration and anger using a number of strategies. Some of these are allowing them to cool off by waiting until they are calm, suggesting alternatives to anger such as deep breaths or pillow pounding, and patting their shoulder or rubbing their back.
