Misdiagnosis may occur with diseases that impersonate other diseases. Such diseases include sciatica, panic disorder, diabetes type II and Lyme disease. Tuberculosis is commonly mistaken for bronchitis and treatments may not be effective, allowing the patient to infect other people.
