Who are the marital experts?
Article Abstract:
This article examines whether professional training or personal experience with marriage predicted accuracy in judging marital satisfaction and marital stability. The authors, evaluating nine groups of participants who watched videos of married couples interacting, found that marital satisfaction was more accurately judged by peronsal experience than by professional training, however, neither group was able to predict divorce.
