A personal narrative is presented, describing a positive attitude towards a prominent scar which was acquired in a car accident as a teenager. Originally viewing the scar as a symbol of survival, Padma Lakshi has since enjoyed a successful modelling and acting career. Her scar has gradually become accepted by photographers, stylists and especially by herself.
