Three types of exercise that use low-impact, non-jarring movements are contact yoga, Pilates and the Lotte Berk Method. Contact yoga involves a partner/teacher who stretches and pulls the body, Lotte Berk uses graceful balletic stretches, and Pilates uses slow streches with a special machine.
