A popular fashion trend in the summer of 2001 is the fringe, which is a strip of pieces of leather dangling from a jacket or a handbag or a belt or a pair of boots. Fringed products of the season include Dolce and Gabbana's white handbag and foxtail, and Brian Atwood's animal print boots.
