All-French deal for Sonoma County winery

Article Abstract:

Burgundian wine negociant firm, Boisset, has purchased the winery founded in 1980 by William Wheeler. The winery produces 20,000 cases per year, and Boisset purchased 130 acres of land. Forty acres are currently planted. Several key employees will remain.

Hacienda Wine Cellars sold

Article Abstract:

Sonoma County, CA, winery Hacienda was purchased by Bronco Wine Co, a large operation. Hacienda makes approximately 25,000 cases of wine per year and is known for its excellent Chardonnay. The family-run winery was becoming too expensive for the owners.
