The history of the evolution of the wine industry in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley in Canada is narrated. The planting of European and American grape varieties in the region has led to an ever-growing increase in the quality and reputation of Okanagan wines.

Research in France and the United States has identified the origins of the Syrah which is used to make the great wines of the Rhone in France and in other regions. The Dureza and Mondeuse Blanche, two obscure French varieties have been found to be the source.

Mondavis donate $35-million to UC Davis for wine and food center
