Falling turnover for Nestle's German operations

Nestle of Switzerland, a food company, saw turnover at its German division fall by 3.7% in 1994 due to the poor business climate, although the company has maintained its market position. Turnover for its Maggi soup and sauce mixes products fell, although there was strong growth in ready meals. Fresh milk products rose and export sales saw an increase.

Nestle optimistic despite curency worries

Nestle of Switzerland, consumer group, has seen first half sales fall 1.5% to 26.9 billion Swiss francs, although there was volume growth of about 3% combined with productivity improvements and the launch of several new products. The company is optimistic about 1995 as a whole as the majority of major currencies are improving against the Swiss franc.

Nestle 'satisfied' despite Swiss franc strength

Nestle of Switzerland, a food company, saw profits fall 10% to 2.92 billion Swiss francs in 1995 due to a strong Swiss franc. Net sales fell slightly to 56.5 billion Swiss francs. However sales volumes rose 3.4% in 1995, and there was an 8% rise in Latin America, with North American volumes up 2% and European volumes up 1%.
