Galbani to boost speciality cheeses
Article Abstract:
Galbani aims to increase its output of specialty cheese such as those of controlled origin. The company is seeking a 7% stake in the market for specialty cheeses over the medium term. Galbani will initially focus on three regional cheeses which tend not to be consumed outside their region of origin. These include the Casalpiano fresh cheese from Piedmont and Lombardy and Castelborgo cheese from Veneto. Galabano increased its turnover in 1994, though the Italian cheese market was stagnant.
