Germany beats the odds: 1998 is another excellent vintage

Article Abstract:

Many of the wines made in 1998 in Germany received high marks in a taste test. More than 400 wines evaluated produced an average rating of 89 points out of 100. Prices of the wines vary greatly. The overall taste of the vintage was a surprise to wine makers because of poor weather right before the harvest.
