Jackson, the owner of the Kendall-Jackson Winery in Sonoma County, CA, will introduce a new line of wines under the J. Stonestreet & Sons label. to be made in nearby Alexander Valley. He is making Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer under the new label.

California weather conditions helped to create an excellent 1990 Chardonnay vintage, in contrast to a dismal 1989. Cronin Vineyards, Wente Bros., Talbott Vineyard and Merryvale Winery are profiled. Evaluations of the 1990 wines are given, and 1980 through 1991 vintages are rated.
