Most valuable cellar: Mets pitcher Steve Trachsel conducts wine tastings at 30,000 feet

Article Abstract:

The New York Mets Steve Traschel conducts informal tasting of wine at the back of a plane by carrying a couple of bottles of wine on board the team's charter flight and playing in New York has given him access to a great collection of wines. The wine cellar in his house in Southern California, designed by Copperstone Cellars of Arizona can hold 2000 bottles and has helped in improving his collection of vintage wines.

When winemakers attack

Many vignerons attacked the Mediterranean port of Sete in France's Languedoc region on March 6, 2006, as they were angry at falling prices for French wines. The Comite Regional d'Action Viticole (CRAV) members have attacked the importers of foreign table wines and they might not settle till the industry has finally recovered.

A taste of China

Article Abstract:

Chinese wines were tasted, which clarified that China has the potential to create fine wines using classic vinifera grapes. Some of wines tasted and approved were Beijing Dragon Seal, Changyu, Grace Vineyard, and Treasure of XI XIA.
