Old world new wines: Spain makes impressive progress without sacrificing its past
Article Abstract:
Spain, who has embraced modern techniques in vineyards and wineries, has largely abandoned its traditional light and often oxidized wine style in favor of concentrated red and whites built on ripe fruit flavors. A brief of Spain's best red wines produced at Priorat, Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Toro, Bierzo, Jumilla and Penedes and of white wines is presented.
