Wines released in 1996 are profiled. They are rated on a scale of one to 100, with tasting notes and prices provided. Dull 1992 and 1993 Rhone Valley vintages are followed by a great improvement in quality. A 1994 Alain Graillot Crozes-Hermitage at $15 is rated 92.
