'The Wine Spectator' challenge winners

Brian Bohr won a contest held for readers of 'The Wine Spectator' to determine what wines would top the magazine's favorites list. Nicole Rekant and Kevin Atticks were the runners-up in the contest. Each entrant describes their method for selecting the wines.

Evaluations of cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, dessert, merlot, pinot noir and blends, zinfandel and other wines made in California, and red wines from Oregon and Washington are given. The prices range from $9 to $55 a bottle.
