The magnificent 30: Domaine Alfred

Article Abstract:

Domaine Alfred owner Terry Speizer believes the key to his winery's success lies in its well-drained clay and white chalk soils, Edna Valley's cool and breezy climate and a strict adherence to biodynamic farming. The winery usually produces two Pinots from the vineyard, namely, the Domaine Alfred Pinot Noir Edna Valley Chamisal Vineyards 2004 and the Chamisal Vineyards Califa 2004, and while both display amazing depth and richness, the Califa is typically more extracted and concentrated.
