The magnificent 30: Goldeneye Winery
Article Abstract:
Mendocino County's Anderson Valley lost out to emerging growing regions as well as to new clones, riper styles and fewer tons per acre in the 1990s, but Goldeneye Winery has proved that the region can still compete with the best. Owner Dan Duckhorn recognized the potential of the valley and winemaker Zach Rasmuson tamed the region's trademark tart cherry and herbal qualities, bringing in a deeper range of ripe raspberry and wild berry flavors.
