Article Abstract:

The government should regulate such things as food, water and appliance safety, but the idea of warning labels is being carried too far. 'Use pot holders' is an example. It is up to parents to teach their children kitchen and household safety measures that are simple common sense.

Article Abstract:

A traveler describes her satisfaction over plane, train and room service food. Although she still harkens to the days when the food served consisted of 'good cheese and excellent wines,' she can give up fancy dinners for a hotel's club sandwich eaten in front of the television.

Article Abstract:

Europeans customarily use utensils to eat things, such as sandwiches, that Americans generally eat with their hands. Americans probably use utensils less than much of the world, probably because of the lack of formality that is associated with eating there.
