Diet, activity, and other health-related behaviors in college-age women
Article Abstract:
Diet, activity, and other health-related behaviors have been studied in college-age women. Morbidity and mortality data for young females indicate that they have health risk behaviors that can lead to both acute and chronic disease. Their diets are high in fat as a fraction of the total and in saturated fat, and they are low in fruits, fiber, vegetables and dairy products so they often lack iron, calcium, and folate. Alcohol use and abuse is a major problem. There are many barriers to behavior change for this group.

Physical activity and psychological well-being: knowledge base, current issues, and caveats
Article Abstract:
It remains unclear exactly how exercise affects psychological well-being (PWB), a popular belief among health professionals and the population in general. The positive impact of sports on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, reported energy levels, positive mood, and overall satisfaction has been small to moderate and may not be the cause for such changes. Also, it is unknown how much physical activity improves PWB for a given amount of time.

Influence of physical activity and exercise on innate immunity
Article Abstract:
This study indicates that moderate, aerobic physical exercise affects natural killer cells, initially by increasing, and then decreasing their number and activity. Chronic exercise enhances innate immune functions; however its clinical relevance has not yet been determined.
