The Edinburgh International Festival takes place annually in Scotland during the month of August. The performing arts festival made its debut back in 1947 as a way to help Europeans forget the devastation caused by the Second World War. Includes brief profiles of hotels and restaurants in the area.

A theater critic extols the spicy dishes of Indian cookery, such as curry. Spices are always used in Indian cuisine such as the murgh masala or chicken marinated in yogurt and spices. There are many Indian restaurants in London such as the Bombay Brasserie which serve authentic Indian cuisine.
