Physiologic processes affecting the content and distribution of phytonutrients in plants

Phytonutrients' role in metabolism: effects on resistance to degenerative processes

Article Abstract:

Dietary fiber and some nutrients, also called phytonutrients, have been identified as producing biological responses that resist chronic diseases. These have been organized into 10 classes defined by biological activity.
