Editorial cartoonists - an endangered species?
Article Abstract:
Editorial cartoons tend to become less substantive and less passionate, with no impact on readers. There is already a dearth of good editorial cartoonists. Editors think like publishers, cartoonists think like editors and both think like marketing directors, thus, good cartoons are not in the top priority listing. Great cartoonists may be a dying breed because of their own doing or due to factors beyond their control.
