Efficient inventory control boosts business
Article Abstract:
The implementation of efficient inventory control procedures by forest products companies has been driven by home center stores and other retailers, according to speakers at the Dec 1992 Comprehensive Inventory Control Systems Conference. The conference examined the relationships between manufacturers and retailers of forest products and the effect of inventory control on those relationships. Computerized inventory control systems will be increasingly implemented during the 1990s so that producers can better respond to retailers' demands for improved cooperation, service and communication.
