Theresa de Bara, six months pregnant, was on a flight to Orlando, FL, with her husband and three-year-old daughter when she experienced labor pains. A doctor and two paramedics later delivered a four-pound, six-ounce baby boy as Capt. Jerry McFerren made a smooth emergency landing at Dulles Airport in Washington.

Lost in the clouds

John Fanselow successfully landed a single-engine Piper Cherokee whose electricity had failed at an airport in Milwaukee, WI. Through the help of Milwaukee Air Traffic Control Supervisor Don Gunderson, Fanselow was guided to safety by a Cessna-208 turboprop driven by Brian Barton.
