A man and his wife travel around sampling Maine fried clams. The clams vary in taste and texture depending on origin. Most natives of Maine prefer batter fried clams. But there are crumb-fried advocates. Recipes include both types of fried clams, chowder, cole slaw, clam cakes, and tartar sauce.
