Murdoch and Time Warner Vice-Chmn Turner engaged in a bitter conflict over Time Warner's decision to broadcast MSNBC, a joint venture between Microsoft Corp and NBC, instead of Fox News Channel. Turner feared that the decision would hurt Cable News Network (CNN), which is owned by Time Warner.
