Chasing waterfalls
Article Abstract:
Michigan's Upper Peninsula has almost 200 major named falls among which Lake Superior, the western corner of UP, offers the most waterfalls in the most compact area. Autumn is the best season to explore the phenomena of sixty-five significant other falls that punctuate Ontonagon and Gogebic counties.

A native son comes home for good

Film and theater actor Jeff Daniels grew up in the small town of Chelsea, MI, and returned here in 1986 to raise his family. Daniels has established a theater in the town which in turn has attracted visitors and business to this town.

Saving the lights of Lake Superior
Article Abstract:
Efforts to save lighthouses along the Great Lakes shore in Michigan are discussed. The lighthouses are either in disrepair or have been vandalized.
