Article Abstract:

Father-daughter relationships and their psychological effects are described using Victoria Secunda's book, 'Women and Their Fathers.' There are four qualities in a 'Good-Enough' father. These are androgyny, generational authority, acceptance of female sexuality and not being jealous about the distribution of affections.

RichardWarshak, an expert in child custody and psychology professor at the University of Texas Southwestern, believes that divorced men tend to discontinue support for their children when they are denied custodial rights. Warshak feels that encouraging joint custody will help correct the situation.
