Blair's feeling of inadequacy in the classroom was replaced by a sense of purposefulness through his friendship with Howard. The two youths inspired each other enough for them to successfully hurdle their personal weaknesses. Both of them managed to graduate from their high school in Delaware, OH.

Students at a Greek history class at the State University of New York were stunned when a deranged student pulled out a rifle and took them hostage. Some male students risked their lives to tackle the man and successfully ended the incident.
