Filling the void: a memorial by Paul Myoda and Julian LaVerdiere
Article Abstract:
Paul Myoda and Julian LaVerdiere once worked on the 91st floor of WTC north, preparing a 2002 light sculpture for the tower's broadcasting towers. Their idea for a temporary memorial is two massive beams of light from reflecting pools pointing upward from the former tower bases, replacing the WTC visage in the skyline with shafts of light, as portrayed on the cover of the magazine.
